Extended story
Welcome to Finca Esperanza, where the art of coffee cultivation harmonizes with the beauty of nature. This enchanting coffee plantation boasts a rich diversity of plants and wildlife, creating a vibrant ecosystem within its grounds.
The journey of the coffee beans begins with meticulous handpicking at the peak of their maturity. Once harvested, they undergo sun-drying to achieve perfection. At the advanced Dry Mill, state-of-the-art machines carefully sort the beans based on their weight, size, density, and color. Skilled workers conduct a final manual sorting to remove any defective beans missed by the machines, ensuring top quality.
Finca Esperanza is dedicated to environmental initiatives. Their efforts include replanting high-quality coffee varieties, diversifying shade trees, using eco-friendly fertilizers, and preventing soil erosion. These practices contribute to sustainable coffee production while preserving the natural ecosystem.
One of the remarkable farms is Finca La Esperanza, spanning 87.5 hectares in Cantón El Porvenir, Municipio de Chalchuapa, Santa Ana. Situated at elevations ranging from 1,000 to 1,750 meters above sea level, the farm benefits from an ideal climate sheltered from strong winds. The farm has been reorganized into 18 plots, favoring shade-loving crops such as ingas, eucalyptus, and conifers. Presently, 70% of the farm is replanted with a diverse range of coffee varieties, including Pacas, Red Bourbon, Pacamara, Orange Bourbon, Kenya, Bernardina, Heirloom, and Mokka.
The farm employs a dedicated team of 65 full-time staff who work tirelessly throughout the year. Their passion and expertise ensure that each coffee bean is nurtured with utmost care, embodying their commitment to quality.
